these are spectacular tyres.Never have I had tyres that have worn better from Michelin to Barums no tyre has beaten these for long lasting wear.My front tyres lasted for 20,000 miles my rear for for 30000 miles and my vehicle is used as a taxi.At this little wear rate Westlake will go out of business

It has only been 3 months since i had them fitted, as l drive conservatively and am experienced driver no issues. However, except for once when i had to do hill start on steep hill in wet conditions and noticed alot of spin on the tyres, which was not good.

When I bought these tyres my expectations were doubtful as to the quality as they were the cheapest on tyre shopper. However, I was amazed at how good these tyres actually are. Why spend a fortune on branded tyres when you can get budget tyres that are just as good. I would definitely buy these again.

Motorway driving in Germany at 130mph the tyres are noisey but have very good grip and direction without vibration. Around town they a great but a little noisier than my old Pirellis with similar or bettter grip. Grip in wet is as good if not better than the old Pirellis.

They give a harder ride than I am used to, but will get used to them.

Haven't really had any need to push these tyres to the edge at all But from what we've seen so far pottering around town on them, they're perfectly good tyres at a very reasonable price

Yeah, I won't be getting them via Paignton again thanks to the damage the young lad did to my boot with the nut gun which I didn't see until I'd got home!

Browsing forums on the internet reveals some drivers rating these tyres as being not good in the wet (some even not liking them in the dry!), but my experience of driving (49 years) has taught me to drive according to prevailing conditions. In my opinion Westlake tyres present no major driving problems.

Excellent value for money, though I not done enough mileage to determine how long they might last.

Replaced the noisy firestones with these at 62 quid a pop, bargain. Much quieter than the previous tyres and the same performance. Get them whilst they are cheap.

On the plus side these tyres are very hard wearing and they are dirt cheap to buy. Grip in dry conditions is okay unless you are really pressing on. The tread pattern and the tyre's general appearance looks like a more expensive brand.

Had been through Continentals and Avons at an alarming rate. Got these at an offer price and they've proved much harder wearing, although not too sure about fuel consumption which seems a little higher.

Andy - 22nd August, 2012

Excellent value for money-no real difference to much more expensive tyres apart from fairly excessive tread wear-have worn 2mm in 4000 miles driving fairly carefully.

I was looking to buy some Avon ZZ3 tyres which I have always rated highly for their handling ability at the price. I came across these whilst using Tyre Shopper and decided to buy a pair to see how they compare to the Avon's. To be totally honest, I haven't noticed a difference, and I've had really hot sunny weather to drive through and some torrential rain. These tyres have already proven themselves. Cornering ability in the dry is fantastic, and they do not let up in the wet either. Now, considering they are almost half the price of the Avon tyres, these will be my first choice in future (until I can afford some Eagle F1 GSD3's or PZero Neros). If you are looking for great performance on a budget, I recommend these. I have not been able to comment on tread wear as I've not had the tyres on the car very long, so I've rated with the general consensus.

Do not use these tyres, Fair enough I've put them on my TT but at the time it was either that or i get rid of the car which i love. I would NEVER use these again and I'm looking to get rid of them as soon as possible, I have realised using cheap nasty tyres like these is a false econamy!! AVOID!!!

Because i drive my own car only at weekends and annually only @5000 mile i didn't feel the need for expensive tyres, having had Michelin pilots on before i thought i would feel a marked difference but up untill now i haven't felt any difference, even at high motorway speeds. They do produce slightly more road noise but not enough to make me spend 4 times the amount for Michelin's
