Manufacturer: Pirelli
Tyre: Pirelli Scorpion Zero

For drivers of powerful SUVs, with occasional off road usage, the Pirelli Scorpion Zero tyres are the perfect option. These are 4x4 tyres from Pirelli Tyres meant primarily for on road use with satisfactory traction on off road surfaces too. The tread ensures safe performance on light snow conditions. The Pirelli Scorpion Zero tyres have been derived from the legendary Pirelli PZero tyres, Pirelli’s most popular tyres in the ultra high performance category and a benchmark for the category till date. The Pirelli Scorpion Zero tyres are factory fitted on SUV models of Land Rover, Mercedes and Porsche and other prestigious marquees. The Pirelli Scorpion Zero tyres are equipped with a number of features that enhance safety and maximise driving pleasure.

Increased stability parameters: The Pirelli Scorpion Zero tyres exhibit a Z shaped symmetrical tread pattern, which confers greater cornering stability. The wide compact shoulder tread blocks enhance the area of the contact patch, improving handling characteristics and ensuring precise steering responsiveness. Both these factors maximise driving pleasure as there is greater control on the car at all times.
Enhanced safety features: The Pirelli Scorpion Zero tyres are equipped with two (three in case of larger size tyres) circumferential water evacuating channels, As these channels push the water away from the tread, the resistance to aquaplaning improves, increasing safety on wet surface. The high grip tread pattern increases traction and improves braking responsiveness on wet and dry surface, maximising safety at all times.
Suited for off road usage: The Pirelli Scorpion Zero tyres use an innovative tread compound that has high grip properties on irregular surfaces. Thus the tyres exhibit maximum traction on off road surfaces. As a result you experience excellent handling and responsive braking on non-asphalt roads.
Improved Ride Comfort: The tread pattern of the Pirelli Scorpion Zero tyres is optimised to reduce noise levels and enhance ride comfort.

Re Q3 above I find that the grip is so good that on poor quality roads the tyres can ride up ruts compared with some other makes I have used.
