Features:

Dunlop SP01 tyres are Dunlop's very high quality tyres offering superior performance and higher speeds and are especially suitable for high-speed sports cars, coupes and saloons. Another tyre in the same category is the Dunlop SP Sport 01A tyres. These tyres are multi-faceted and offer a range of features and benefits that any driver will find offering best value for his money. The Dunlop SP01 tyres have been manufactured by Dunlop tyres to match perfectly with the best of the contemporary automotive designs and constructions. However these tyres are not built to perform as well at very low temperatures and therefore should be avoided on snowy surfaces.

Increased dry and wet grip: Use of 100% Silica for the tread compound improves both dry and wet grip, increases tread wear ratings and considerably reduces rolling resistance in the Dunlop SP01 tyres.
Excellent sporty handling: The asymmetric Tri-Area-Tread pattern of the Dunlop SP01 tyres, which is divided into 3 tread segments makes for a smooth, safe and noiseless performance on any surface even at a high speed.
Higher control and comfort: These tyres have twin steel belts with Dunlop’s Jointless Band (JLB) spiral wrapped nylon. This makes the Dunlop SP01 tyres very durable and light-weight, making them an ideal choice for high-speed driving.
Excellent high-speed cornering and safety: The Dunlop SP01 tyres provide an excellent grip on high speed roundabouts. While cornering, there is almost zero sideways drift on a dry surface and a minimum one on the wet.

The safety and comfort of your car journey depends on your tyres. There are numerous brands in the market that manufacture very high quality tyres. Dunlop is one of the most prestigious names among them. Dunlop Tyres is a tyre manufacturing company that has been in the field for a very long period of time. What makes Dunlop tyres one of the forerunners of the industry is their continuous effort to develop newer technologies for high performance tyres for all types of weather conditions and surfaces.

Only got about 11500 miles on front tyres but good grip usually means a slight compromise on mileage, a harder tyre may give more mileage but not such good grip.

Very disappointed that Broughty Ferry branch "sold" me one of these when i needed a single tyre replacement, saying that they didn't have one of the tyres that i had on the rest of my wheels... they never suggested that they could get one from one of their other depots within a few hours... which would have saved me a fair bit. Have used Ferry Branch for a while, but my husband stopped usinh it when this happened to him, and I will shop elsewhere next time.

These were the tyres fitted to my car when I bought it. I find their grip to be superb, and the usual problems of poor ride comfort on run flats does not seem to apply - probably due to the rim size being a more conservative 17". I drive on country roads and inner town roads, and I have a heavy foot. I have also taken them on the motorway and to a track day, and found no flaws, other than a little road noise on poor surfaces.

as replacements for those fitted originally to the car from new, they suit the car and my expectations of it

I need a replacement for all four run flats. The reviews said that these were a good tyre and so they have proved. The ride is noticably smoother, quieter and the grip is much better. They seem to be a cost effective replacement at about £330 fitted. You need a couple of cans of Tyre weld incase you get a puncture but when compared to £600 for run flats I thinks its worth it.

I live in the country side and drive down a lot of national speed limit country lanes and go through a lot of hight speed roundabouts and these tyers give me all the grip I need. In the dry there in no sideways drift, and very little in the soaking wet.

Early days for correct all round judgement but I consider these tyres to be the best that I have ever purchased to date.

These tyres are the same ones that were on the car when we bought it new, so we knew exactly what to expect. We had no complaints with the original tyres and have none with these. As well as these tyres, I have purchased tyres for my own car and my son's car from Tyre Shopper and have always been very impressed with the service.

Alan Ansell - 1st October, 2010

My driving is at an average of 40/50 miles an hour on COUNTRY roads - lots of bends and varying conditions. Tyres can "glide" in dry conditions on a straight road at high speed - definitely not motorway conditions.
