Manufacturer: Dunlop
Tyre: Dunlop SP SPORT 01 MFS

The Dunlop SP Sport 01 tyres from Dunlop Tyres are well known for their power of 3S – safety, smoothness of ride and enabling a sporty performance. With the Dunlop SP Sport 01 MFS tyres, another ‘S’ is added to the tyre features – ‘security’ of the alloys due the MFS technology. MFS stands for Maximum Flange Shield. It is an alloy rim protection technology patented by Dunlop. Dunlop MFS tyres have an additional profile of rubber running along the tyre circumference close to the lower sidewall. This rubber band is positioned just above the alloy rims and thus offers additional protection to expensive rims from accidental kerbing damage. Thus with the Dunlop SP Sport 01 MFS tyres, in addition to a sporty smooth and safe ride, you can be at peace about the security of your alloys.

Enhanced stability and steering responsiveness: The asymmetric tread pattern enhances contact patch on wet and dry surface, enhancing stability. In addition, the silica rich tread compound ensures that the tyre retains its shape without too much deformation at high speeds. This imparts maximum steering responsiveness and stability on straight roads as well as during cornering at all speeds.
Improved wet grip: The silica reinforced tread compound enhances grip and traction on all surfaces. As a result, braking distances are greatly reduced on wet and dry surfaces, enhancing safety. Additionally, the special tread blocks in the tread design effectively disperse surface water even under conditions of heavy rain, keeping the under tread area water-free and improving wet grip and handling.
Quiet peaceful ride: The Dunlop SP Sport 01 MFS tyres exhibit a parallelogram block tread design, which cancels out the irritating audible frequencies generated from the tyre motion. As a result, you experience a quiet, peaceful ride. The tread pattern is also optimised for even tread wear, prolonging tyre life significantly.

The USP of the Dunlop SP Sport 01 MFS tyres apart from the MFS technology is the unique asymmetric tread pattern which divides the tread into three distinct zones, each corresponding with features responsible for ensuring a smooth, sporty and safe ride.

Advised when booked in that car had a judder. Recommended 4 new tyres and balance. Still juddered, all 4 wheels checked for alignment. judder remained and local volkswagon dealer replaced both Outer, then inner CV joint to replace. Also advised by them that tyres wearing un-evenly in the 3 months, so booked back with Dealer for another 4 point alignment check. Would not recommend as missed CV joint as real cause, and alignment would still appear to be out.
